How to set up TiviMate for IPTV

TiviMate is the most popular IPTV player for Android TV — install it from the Google Play Store, add your subscription with an Xtream Codes login or an M3U link, let the EPG download, and you’re done in a few minutes. TiviMate runs on Android TV, Fire Stick and Android boxes (not iOS or Apple TV). Here’s the exact setup, plus the settings that make it look and run its best.

Install TiviMate

1. On Android TV / Fire Stick, open the Play Store (or the Amazon Appstore on Fire devices) and install TiviMate.
2. Open TiviMate and choose Add playlist.
3. Pick Xtream Codes (recommended) or M3U playlist.
4. For Xtream Codes, enter your server URL, username and password. For M3U, paste the full link.
5. Name the playlist and let TiviMate download the channels and the EPG (TV guide).

Recommended settings

• EPG: TiviMate uses the guide from your provider automatically — give it a minute on first load.
• Buffer: if you see occasional stutter, raise the buffer size slightly in Settings → Playback.
• Favourites: long-press a channel to add it; group favourites for quick access to sport and your local channels.
• Playback: the default player works well; try the alternate decoder if a specific channel won’t play.

Free vs Premium

TiviMate’s free tier is enough to watch. TiviMate Premium adds recording, multiple playlists, multi-view and scheduled recordings. Both work with our subscription — Premium is a TiviMate purchase, separate from your IPTV plan.

Troubleshooting

• Login rejected: re-check the server URL and credentials (case-sensitive).
• No guide: wait for the EPG to finish, then restart TiviMate.
