How to set up IPTV on a MAG box

A MAG box (Infomir) works differently from app-based devices: instead of a login, it uses a portal URL tied to your box’s MAC address. You send us the MAC address, we register it and give you a portal URL, you enter that URL under Servers → Portals and reboot — then your channels and EPG load automatically. Here’s the exact process and the fixes for common issues.
Step 1 — Find your MAC address
The MAC address is printed on a sticker on the bottom of the box, and also shown on-screen under Settings → System Settings → About (or System Information). It looks like 00:1A:79:XX:XX:XX. Send us this on WhatsApp when you order.
Step 2 — We register it and send your portal
We add your MAC to the service and send you a portal URL. Registration is what links your specific box to your subscription — it’s why a MAG needs no username/password on the box itself.
Step 3 — Enter the portal on the box
- On the MAG, go to Settings → System Settings → Servers → Portals.
- In Portal 1 URL, enter the portal address we gave you exactly.
- Save, then go back and reboot the portal (or restart the box).
- The box loads your channel list and the EPG — give it a minute the first time.
Troubleshooting
- “Portal not responding” / no channels: double-check the portal URL for typos and confirm the MAC you sent matches the box exactly.
- Freezing: MAG boxes prefer a wired connection — plug in Ethernet. See our buffering guide.
- Changed or bought a new box? The MAC is different, so send us the new one and we’ll re-register.

Which MAG models are supported?
The common Infomir MAG models (250, 254, 322, 324, 424 and similar) all work. Tell us your model and we’ll confirm.
Is a MAG box better than a Fire Stick or Android box?
Not necessarily — MAG is simple and stable but app-based devices are more flexible. If you don’t already own a MAG, an Android box or Fire Stick is a great choice.
