1. Set the quality your line can actually hold

Most IPTV apps let you cap stream quality manually, and most channels exist in more than one bitrate. On a slow connection, set SD as the default rather than letting the app reach for the highest bitrate and choke on it mid-match.

3. Wire it — Ethernet matters more here, not less

Wi-Fi loses a few percent of throughput to interference and retransmits even on a fast line; on a slow one, that same loss is a bigger share of an already-thin budget. Plugging the box directly into the router with an Ethernet cable is the single change that helps a slow connection the most.

4. Raise the player's buffer

A slow line dips more often than a fast one — a neighbour's peak-time usage, a background download, a brief ISP hiccup. A small player buffer empties the second speed dips, even for a second or two. Raising the buffer size in your app's playback settings gives it a cushion to ride those dips out instead of freezing.

This is app-side, not a speed fix — it won't turn 3 Mbps into 10, but it removes the stutter that comes from short, ordinary speed fluctuations rather than a genuinely inadequate line.

5. Know the honest limit

None of the above turns a 3 Mbps connection into a 4K one. If your line tests consistently under 5 Mbps, SD on a single device is the ceiling — and that's a genuinely slow connection issue, not a provider problem.
